A 13-BORE PERCUSSION DOUBLE-BARRELLED SPORTING-GUN, serial no. 1430,
circa 1850, with 29 1/2in. laminate barrels, the top-rib signed 'GASQUOINE & DYSON, MARKET PLACE, MANCHESTER No 1430' (rubbed), bead fore-sight, gamebird engraved to the rib-end at breech, platinum vented plugs, chisel engraved top-tang and locks, the scrolled ground inhabited by gamebirds and hunting dogs, the bars of the locks signed within banners 'GASQUOINE & DYSON', dipped lock tails, en-suite dolphin headed hammers, chequered walnut half-stock, iron furniture with chisel engraved scroll-work, plain ramrod thimbles and brass mounted mahogany ramrod
